About the role

Knox Private Hospital currently has the opportunity for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join the Knox Physiotherapy team on an ongoing basis.

The Grade 1 program includes 4 monthly rotations through acute orthopaedics general medical cardiac oncology general surgical and rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be supported with ongoing professional development senior mentoring and support. They will become part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary Allied Health department which seeks to provide our patients with high quality evidence based consumer-centred care.

The Physiotherapy team at Knox Private Hospital are a passionate and friendly team who work collaboratively to provide excellence in patient care. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist to join our team on weekdays (Monday Friday) in a full-time capacity with rotations across Knox Private Ringwood Private and The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre

About Us

As a Physiotherapist your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to acute inpatients (including orthopaedics general medical cardiorespiratory palliative care/oncology).

Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment treatment planning and evidence based practice

Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department

Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people

Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services

Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students

Demonstrated ability you work independently and with a team.

May be required to work across sites including Knox Private Hospital and Ringwood Private Hospital.

Selection Criteria:

Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent

Current AHPRA Registration

Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment and intervention.

Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork

Weekday availability required and potential for weekends.
