Job Description
Group and Team: Community Programs Youth
Location: Town Hall
Employment status: Permanent Part-time 0.68 (25.84 hours per week)
Classification: Municipal Officer Level 2
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $72493 to $80262 pro rata ($36.68 - $40.61 hourly rate) 13% superannuation.

About the role
This role contributes to the success of the City by identifying developing delivering and maximising opportunities for young people aged 12 to 25 to participate in creative cultural social and recreational programs within the Youth Arts & Recreation Centre and externally as part of Youth Programs.
Role accountabilities include:
- Coordinating and delivering workshops programs projects and events in creative art cultural recreational and social activities for children and young people in Hobart.
- Taking a lead worker role during Open Access sessions to actively connect with and engage young people.
- Supporting the development of promotional materials and documentation of creative programs and events involving young people in the process.

We are looking for a dynamic Youth Arts Officer with a strong background in youth work community arts or a related field.
You will design and deliver inspiring programs leveraging your excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit. Organised and adaptable you will ensure the highest standards of safety and wellbeing.

- Certificate in Community Arts Youth Work Community Development or equivalent or work experience in a relevant field.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Current Drivers Licence.
