Job Description
DeLaval is now looking for a Sourcing Engineer.
The Sourcing Engineer works in x-functional teams to resolve Product Change Assignments and/or New Part Introduction (NPI).
You will play a key role in evaluating and selecting suppliers in accordance with the sourcing strategies. An interest in and understanding of technology is important since an important part of the job is to both select the right suppliers and to also be able to explain our requirements.
DeLaval Sourcing is a team of 60 sourcing professionals located in Europe Americas and China. Here you get the opportunity to work internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Sourcing representative to support the Product Management & Development organization in Product design changes and/or New Part Introduction (NPI) to resolve maintenance and/or quality issues.
- Supplier selection according to category strategy suitable for the setsource requirements according to the global sourcing process.
- Work together with Sourcing Managers for supplier selection and give input to supplier performance evaluations.
- Responsible for phase-in/phase out of the products in scope.
- Identify product cost reduction or other opportunities within existing assortment/products/components.
Qualifications and experience
You are a person with commercial interest while staying close to the technology. You are analytical structured take own initiatives and with ability to handle multiple things at the same time.
You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent sourcing in cross functional teams as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the development of the team.
We expect you to have an academic degree or equivalent experience from sourcing and/or engineering.
As the role involves communication with global suppliers you are fluent in English and preferably also in Swedish.

This is a full-time permanent position based at DeLavals headquarters in Tumba south of Stockholm. Travelling will be part of the position. We offer a hybrid workplace model allowing flexibility to work remotely.
