Arundel Court Primary Academy and Nursery Portsmouth

We are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants with a focus on SEN

32.10 hours per week (8.30am to 3.40pm daily) 43.53 weeks per annum term time only (38 weeks per annum) Permanent contract

Salary Range Trust Grade 2 point 3-8 depending on experience 24027 to 24790

(Actual starting salary 17449.71)

You will be required to support the development of pupilsteaching and learning and their physical and mental wellbeing on a one-to-one or in a small group basis. As part of a team you will help to encourage and develop independent learning promoting excellent behaviours and creating avibrant happy and exciting learning environment enabling our children to achieve their best.

With a good knowledge and understanding of how to support learning for children with SEN and building effective relationships with children staff and parents you will assist in providing awide range of activities and learning activities. Ensuring a safe environment you will prepare and clear away materials and resources as required. With good interpersonal and communication skills you will be organised flexible and have the presence to inspire confidence and trust so as to develop and nurture independence.Some intimate care with children may be needed. Previous experience of working with children with SEN is desirable.
