Description

The Microwave Process Engineering (MPE) Team within the Faculty of Engineering is looking to recruit a laboratory technician to help support our work during a very important time. We require this additional support due to a period of significant expansion of our commercially focussed research portfolio.

Start Date:Monday 30th June (can be negotiated)
End Date:Friday 12th September
Working Hours:Monday Friday 8:30 5:00 with 1 hour lunch break - hours can be negotiated where needed
Pay Rate:12.78 per hour plus holiday pay
Location:Faculty of Engineering University Park Nottingham NG7 2RD
Dress Code:Casual

The Microwave Process Engineering (MPE) Team within the Faculty of Engineering is looking to recruit a laboratory technician to help support our work during a very important time. We require this additional support due to a period of significant expansion of our commercially focussed research portfolio.

The duties will include:

This exciting and varied role will involve laboratory work and general support to a number of important projects within the group in our world class engineering laboratories. Duties will mainly involve laboratory test work using a wide variety of general and specialised equipment sample characterisation and analysis. General day-to-day laboratory housekeeping and maintenance associated with an engineering environment will also be required.

Additional work includes supporting the wider research team members in preparation operation cleaning and maintenance of experimental rigs and in general supporting the day-to-day activities of the group.


Skills and experience required for the role:

We welcome applications from individuals from a science and engineering background gained through either through study work or both. Please indicate in your application which academic year you will be completing your studies in.
