About the role
We are currently seeking a Mechanic in joining our Workshop team on a permanent full-time basis. With robust on the job training and mentoring you proactively build upon your existing industry experience with this unique opportunity. You will be working as a valued team member responsible for the effective maintenance and repairs of Councils diverse vehicle and plant fleet. Our Workshop team carries out maintenance and servicing scheduled and un-scheduled repairs fabrication and registration inspections on a wide variety of heavy and light vehicles trailers major plant equipment and small plant items.
We have 1x vacancy based in our afternoon shift crew. Please see hours of work below. This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off every second Friday.

Essential criteria
Commencing Salary: $76329.00 - $88355.00 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation andan Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
