Job Description

Job Title:Occupational Therapist
Band:6
Location:Truro Cornwall
Working Hours:37.5 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application

We are currently seeking a motivated and experiencedBand 6 Occupational Therapistto join our NHS client inTruro Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful coastal region while delivering high-quality care across community and/or acute settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to adults with a range of physical cognitive and functional needs.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and independence.
  • Contribute to discharge planning rehabilitation and reablement services.
  • Support service users in achieving their goals through personalised care plans and evidence-based practice.
  • Supervise junior staff and students and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in acute or community settings at Band 6 level (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication clinical reasoning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable for community roles)
