Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegalwith a minimum 2 years of relevant experienceand aLaw Clerk diploma or certificateto join our dynamic legal team.
Reporting directly to theGeneral Counsel the Paralegal will support a group of commercial construction companies by assisting with legal documentation regulatory compliance contract management and corporate governance. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and able to work within established processes with a strong focus on internal and external customer service.
Responsibilities
- Draft review and organize legal documents including contracts subcontracts NDAs and corporate resolutions
- Maintain and update corporate records minute books and legal databases
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for internal use
- Assist in preparing materials for litigation arbitration or regulatory filings
- Monitor and track deadlines for legal filings permits and licenses
- Liaise with external counsel regulatory bodies and internal departments
- Support due diligence and compliance efforts for corporate transactions and projects
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of legal policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
- Paralegal diploma or certificate from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal or similar role preferably in a corporate or construction environment
- Membership in the Canadian Association of Paralegals is considered an asset but not a requirement
- Strong understanding of corporate law contract law and regulatory compliance
- Experience in the construction or real estate industry would be considered an asset
- Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g. CCDC documents)
- Prior experience working with contractual documents including drafting reviewing and organizing agreements
Business Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems

- Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in communicating at all levels of the organization
