Position
- DuBois Chemicals Canada is offering an 8-12 month co-op position.
- The position will be based in our Vancouver office with some opportunity for local and Canadian travel.
- The candidate will be part of a technical team (engineering and science) supervised and working alongside four engineers (one .) and a group of scientists.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- 3D modeling of piping assemblies for tendering and for fabrication
- Quote preparation for equipment
- Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs to facilitate design development
- Data collection
- Pump skid operation testing and modification
- Spray nozzle manifold and associated equipment setup and operation
- New test equipment design and assembly
- Test report generation and presentation to supervisor(s)
- Dust suppression system design and assembly
- Participate in customer service and technical issues resolution
- Automation of department workflows
- Shipping and receiving
Requirements:
- Minimum two-year completion of a Mechanical Materials Electrical or Chemical Engineering program
- AutoCAD experience is an asset
- Laboratory experience is desirable
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude is required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details is required
- Ability to work to deadlines sense of urgency
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills
