Were now seeking a dedicated Safety Representative to join our elite team covering projects throughout Floridas West Coast region. Position Summary:
As our West Coast Safety Representative you will work hands-on with field teams to uphold CHCs safety culture across active job sites- primarily focused on marine pile driving and heavy civil operations. This is a boots-on-the-ground highly visible role where your leadership will make a real impact in protecting lives and enhancing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular job site inspections audits and safety observations on marine and construction projects
- Support field crews by promoting safe work practices and providing mentoring leadership and management guidance to maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards (OSHA USCG FDOT etc.)
- Assist in incident investigations reporting and root cause analysis
- Facilitate safety meetings toolbox talks job hazard analysis and behavior-based observations.
- Collaborate with Superintendents Quality Control and Project Management teams to proactively address safety concerns
- Monitor and document safe work practices through project reporting platforms
- Travel to job sites along Floridas west coast (up to 75%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of safety experience in marine construction pile driving or heavy civil environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA USCG FDOT standards and construction best practices
- Strong communication and leadership skills in field-based settings
- Proficiency in digital documentation and safety reporting tools.
- Must live in the Sarasota/ Casey Key region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP Certified
- Familiarity with FDOT EPA FDEP OSHA USCG standards
- Bilingual is a plus
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays)
