About Pasqal
PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.
Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.
Job Description
PasqOS is the software operating Pasqals bleeding edge Quantum Processing Units (QPU). It is a fairly complex software that interracts with a lot of hardware written mostly in Python.
We are looking for experienced developpers interested in working on the Quantum Computing fied and particiapte to Pasqal technological advances through various projects. In this context your main missions will be:
- To contribute to implement features into PasqOS
- To implement tests and write documentation for those features
- To propose evolutions and refactorings
- To help the PasqOS integration team to solve problems with the QPUs
- To potentially integrate new hardware on PasqOS.
- To particiate to code reviews and merge code.
- To participate to the maintenance and enhancement of the CI and code tooling in general
- To propose and try new things share your knoweldge and experience.
About you
We are looking for a open minded team player with good communication skills.
No need to be a Quantum physics doctor (we already have a lot of them at Pasqal ;D) but working in this company is the opportunity to talk with experts in various fields and learn many things.
Will you write the history of Quantum Processing with us
- You have a strong experience with Python and its development ecosystem.
- You are familiar with software architecture (OOP and design patterns).
- You have good knowledge of Git and CI (Gitlab CI is a plus).
- Also a good experience with dealing with hardware.
- You are comfortable with databases (PostgreSQL).
- You are very familiar with Linux (we use Ubuntu).
- And also familiar with C or C (some drivers are sometime just provided with a C API).
- Being fluent in Rust or a strong motivation to learn it is highly appreciated.
