Job Description
Registered Nurse-Med Surg Permanent Role
- Location: Grapevine TX 76051
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Deliver direct patient care based on individualized needs and standards of nursing practices.
- Monitor patient progress administer medications and assist with treatments and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments and home care instructions.
- Document all care and interventions in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations nursing laws and facility policies.
- Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of local nursing laws standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with hospital operational procedures and ethical practices.
- Proficiency in medical terminology health promotion disease prevention and pharmacology.
- Respect for patient confidentiality and professional nursing ethics.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with patients families and healthcare staff.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for effective decision-making.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office EMR systems email scheduling/payroll tools).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Field of study: Nursing.
- Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS Certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Med Surg or acute care setting.
