Job Description
Facility Name: Saint Clares Behavioral Health - Boonton (SCBNJ)
Address: 130 Powerville Road Boonton NJ 07005
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
Pay Rate: $64/hr (W2) $68/hr (1099)
Department: Psych Child and Adolescent/ Childrens Crisis Intervention Unit
- Provide direct patient care in a child and adolescent psychiatric setting for patients aged 5 to 17.
- Collaborate within a team nursing model participating in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings with physicians.
- Work closely with social workers and care coordinators to support treatment planning and discharge processes.
- Ensure safe administration and documentation of medications using Omnicell and EPIC systems.
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with state and facility standards.
- Manage and respond to behavioral health emergencies using de-escalation techniques and approved safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and patient rights policies at all times.
- Float between units within the Boonton Behavioral Health campus and the Pediatric Medical Crisis Unit (PMCU) in Dover as required.
- Comply with hospital policies procedures and safety protocols while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care.
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience required.
- Proficiency with Omnicell (medication dispensing) and EPIC (electronic health record) systems.
- No IV certification required.
- Strong communication crisis intervention and teamwork skills essential.
