Job Description
We are seeking a top-tier Freelance UI/UX Designer with exceptional creativity and user-centered design expertise to join us for high-impact software projects. This role, under a Master Service Agreement (MSA), requires a visionary designer who can transform complex product requirements into intuitive, visually stunning, and engaging digital experiences. This role is critical during bid defenses, where the ability to communicate the design vision effectively can help win key deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Excellence:
- Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications with a strong emphasis on creative thinking and user-centric innovation. Your designs should not only solve functional challenges but also delight users and elevate the overall digital experience.
- Bid Defense Contributions:
- Collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to produce high-impact wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Explain how your design solutions align with client goals and address pain points during pre-sales and bid defense presentations.
- User Research & Testing:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, gather insights through user testing, and iterate on designs based on feedback. Ensure your solutions are deeply rooted in real-world user behavior.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with solution architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design feasibility, timeline alignment, and technical consistency across delivery phases.
- Prototyping & Interaction Design:
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and interaction models using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, InVision, and Axure. Clearly convey user journeys and key UX flows through these prototypes.
- Design Systems & Guidelines:
- Build and maintain consistent design systems, UI libraries, and interaction guidelines across platforms to ensure visual and functional coherence.
Requirements:
- Extensive Experience in Software UI/UX Design:
- A minimum of 7 10 years of experience designing user interfaces for enterprise-level software solutions, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex web and mobile application projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design. Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Client-Facing Skills:
- Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback into iterative design processes. Ability to clearly explain design choices and user flows, especially in bid defense and pre-sales settings.
- Prototyping Expertise:
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD, and prototyping platforms like InVision, Axure, or similar.
- Portfolio encouraged: We re excited to see examples of your past work. A strong, relevant portfolio will help us better understand your creative approach and UX expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing SaaS or enterprise software, especially within healthcare, fintech, or e-commerce domains.
- Strong ability to blend brand identity with user interface best practices.
- Comfortable operating in agile teams and managing design timelines in freelance or consulting environments.
