Job Description
Our client in Tucson AZ is an award-winning IT solutions firm that has been delivering innovative technology services to businesses across Southern Arizona for more than 20 years. Their mission is to drive growth through tailored technology strategies and exceptional client support built on empathy trust and a deep understanding of each organizations needs.
They are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead full-cycle infrastructure projectsranging from discovery and planning through to implementation documentation and seamless handoff to support. This individual will act as the senior technical resource for projects involving server and network deployments Microsoft 365 migrations firewall implementation cloud transitions and more. The role also involves working closely with account managers and sales to provide technical consultation during the pre-sales phase. The position includes a mix of remote and onsite work as required by the client.
This is a direct hire ONSITE role which will entail some local travel. Candidate must be local to the area.
Duties:
- Manage infrastructure projects end-to-end including scoping design documentation and transition to support teams.
- Serve as lead engineer for server/network deployments cloud projects M365 migrations and security implementations.
- Collaborate with sales and account management to ensure technical alignment during pre-sales engagements.
- Perform onsite and remote implementation work maintaining a strong focus on project outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Document project work thoroughly using platforms like ConnectWise and ITGlue.
- Act as an escalation point for internal engineering teams and assist with technical issue resolution.
- Provide strategic recommendations for client infrastructure in line with best practices for security performance and compliance.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles with full lifecycle project leadership and client interaction.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Azure Windows ServerActive Directory DNS/DHCP Hyper-V or VMware and disaster recovery platforms such as Acronis.
- Familiarity with firewall technologies (SonicWall preferred) VLANs VPNs routing and endpoint management solutions.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as ConnectWise Manage Automate Control ITGlue and Liongard.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive self-directed and committed to ongoing learning and development.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA CMMC is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or comparable certification)
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP
- SonicWall Network Security Professional (SNSP) or related security certification
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or solid Microsoft Hyper-V experience with implementation history
- ITIL Foundation CompTIA Project or similar certifications in project or service management
- Familiarity with ConnectWise Project Module or equivalent PSA tools is advantageous
Compensation: $110000 - $117000 DOE plus full benefits
