Job Description

GLASSBORO PUBLIC SCHOOLS

JOB DESCRIPTION

Tenure Track/10-Month Position- Physical Education

Start Date -September 2025

Qualifications:Hold aPhysical Education Certification.

Reports To:Building Principal

Instructional Planning:

  • Plan instruction consistent with the district-approved curriculum
  • Apply principles of teaching/learning to enhance student achievement.
  • Utilize teaching methods that are appropriate for the objectives and learners.
  • Modify the instruction to meet student needs.
  • Communicate effectively about student progress to students and their parents/ guardians.
  • Establish clear expectations for appropriate behavior.
  • Follow Board of Education policies school procedures and any other rules regulations or policies that the central or building administration may establish.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Principal within the parameters of the hour terms and conditions of employment as negotiated.

Terms of Employment:

This is a ten (10) month position with salary and contract terms to be negotiated with the Superintendent and the Board of Education.

Evaluation:

Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of personnel.
