About the Role: Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Senior Doc is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our mobile behavioral health team specializing in geriatric mental health. This is a fee-for-service roleyou earn based on your time and commitment. Youll be supported by a dedicated medical assistant and scribe allowing you to focus more on patient care and less on admin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for geriatric patients in home and facility-based settings
- Diagnose and manage conditions like depression anxiety dementia and behavioral disorders
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications adjusting as needed based on patient response
- Collaborate with primary care providers therapists and care teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Provide crisis intervention and family education to improve outcomes and understanding
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation to support coordinated long-term care plans

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Active PMHNP license in CA
- Experience with geriatric psychiatry long-term care or mobile healthcare (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with elderly patients and their families
- Comfortable working independently with remote support
