HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH (OPEN TEACHING)
HIGH SCHOOL
2025-2026 School Year
Fairfield High School is looking for a dynamic Head Volleyball Coach to join our team of committed coaches and teachers in the mission to educate and develop student athletes on and off the court.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core
academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual
emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies
and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in the assigned subject area (teaching field open)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of basketball coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
- Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes at a high level
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Three years coaching or participant experience in volleyball
Job Description:
- Lead successful 9-12 boys girls volleygball program
- Provide student athletes with an opportunity to participate in a successful volleyball program
- Provide quality instruction and skills development for students/athletes
- Promote participation in athletic program at all levels
- Establish and maintain a collaborative coaching environment
- Establish and maintain a positive line of communication with all stakeholders

We have an excellent student to teacher ratio maintain good student discipline and enjoy widespread community support. The position is 187 days. It offers teacher salary plus generous stipends and extra paid days. The district currently covers the cost of employee health insurance up to $399 / month as well as $25000 in life insurance.
