The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all arrival shipments are supported by accurate timely and well-documented quality reports. This includes ensuring the necessary quality inspectors are scheduled for the anticipated arrivals.
Sending all reports to the corresponding grower within the required time frame and notifying them right away if there are any issues or claims. Responsible for keeping a record of the quality results for all shipments. This role also involves maintaining secure and organized records of all quality results applying principles of information security and risk assessment to protect sensitive data and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Leveraging strong competencies in data analytics and decision optimization the quality and data assurance supervisor will support data-driven evaluations to identify trends and performance gaps.
Key Performance Outputs
- Monitor all incoming product for quality issues coordinating timely inspections and reporting any concerns requiring immediate action.
- Block affected inventory in business systems until resolution plans are in place ensuring full traceability through accurate data tracking.
- Generate and distribute quality reports for all arrivals re-inspections claims aged inventory and repacked/reprocessed fruit within 24 hours.
- Maintain direct communication with quality inspectors and growers to manage inspections escalate issues and ensure timely reporting.
- Track all inspection data claims and pre-claims maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring proper cost allocation and resolution.
- Coordinate repacks reprocessing and surveyor inspections with internal teams and warehouses to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prepare and present operational reports including arrival quality summaries claim statuses inventory ageing and repack performance.
- Continuously optimize workflows through systems analysis and data-driven insights to support operational efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
Qualification / Experience
- Bachelors Degree master s degree graduate certificate program or equivalent in business administration business analysis information security systems or agronomy
- Experience in fresh fruit/production area/quality and inventory control
- Minimum 4 years of work experience
Functional/Technical
- Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) Power Bi Alteryx Python
- Knowledge of quality and customer specifications
- Experience in Data and business analytics
- Knowledge of information security
- Knowledge of operations management
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
