Job Description
Role: Network Engineer Dutch Speaking
Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid: 2 3 days remote)
Language Requirement: Fluent Dutch (mandatory)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a freelance engagement supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure. The role involves managing and troubleshooting complex network environments using technologies such as Cisco Meraki Fortinet Cisco NAC and SD-WAN while following strict change and incident management procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute network configuration changes and service requests in accordance with customer change management protocols.
- Perform incident diagnosis and resolution in collaboration with OEM vendors.
- Develop scripts and automation for network tasks involving LAN WLAN Firewall DNS and DHCP services.
- Collaborate with application owners to assess bandwidth requirements for new link implementations.
- Coordinate with ISPs for deployment of internet and WAN links.
- Manage iOS upgrades and downgrades on switches routers and wireless devices.
- Support major incident management and deliver root cause analysis reports for critical network issues.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fluent in Dutch (mandatory).
- Proven expertise with:
- Cisco Meraki Cisco NAC
- Fortinet firewalls
- Palo Alto (preferred)
- Routing and Switching
- SD-WAN technologies
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking security and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting for routine network operations.
- Experience with major incident/problem management processes.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNP Fortinet NSE or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE (preferred but not mandatory)
