Job Description
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Senior Fa ade Designer to lead the design and development of external fa ade packages for high-profile architectural projects. With deep experience in metal cladding systems fabrication drawings and coordination across multi-disciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with pre-construction commercial and site operations teams to deliver complete fa ade design packages across various stages from concept to installation.
Interpret architectural specifications and requirements to develop design solutions for fa ades curtain walls cladding and metal panel systems.
Produce shop drawings fabrication details elevations sections BOMs and cutting lists using AutoCAD and relevant industry tools.
Prepare procurement schedules and ensure all design output aligns with manufacturer timelines and delivery milestones.
Manage project-specific design documentation and ensure compliance with internal QA/QC standards.
Supervise and mentor junior designers reviewing drawing output and maintaining adherence to company standards and best practices.
Attend project handovers and design meetings to identify scope clarify requirements and proactively address design challenges.
Maintain contract files daily activity logs and weekly timesheets to track project deliverables and team contributions.
Provide ongoing design support to internal teams and act as a technical liaison for external consultants or suppliers when required.
Participate in RFI and query resolution supporting the design manager in delivering high-quality solutions under deadline-driven environments.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
3 5 years of fa ade design experience including leadership in metal cladding systems architectural detailing and fabrication-level drawing production.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD () BOM/cutting list preparation and fa ade system detailing.
Proficient in working with panel systems such as Kingspan DriDesign VersaWall Formwall ACM and similar.
Experience coordinating with international project teams and clients (UK Ireland US or Gulf regions is a plus).
Familiarity with structural analysis basics (STAAD or equivalent preferred) and understanding of buildability and fabrication constraints.
Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple design packages and mentor junior staff.
Ability to work independently and manage design timelines across parallel project streams.
Desirable:
Exposure to fa ade projects in the UK/Ireland or Middle East market
Knowledge of document control practices and ISO-based design protocols
Experience with additional tools such as Revit Inventor or Navisworks (added advantage)
Diploma/Bachelor s degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture. 3 to 15 years of experience in facade design or related field. Strong knowledge of facade materials (glass, aluminum, ACP, steel, etc.). Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and relevant analysis tools (e.g., STAAD, ANSYS). Understanding of building codes and facade design standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to relocate to or work in Madikeri, Karnataka.
