ID Recruitment are delighted to be working with a global leader in medical device manufacturing company in Galway to recruit an Automation Engineer (Controls) in Co. Galway.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation. This is a great opportunity to work on the design of high-tech engineering applications. The role will include machine control system software design development & commissioning

Duties and responsibilities include;
Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs Robotics Motion HMI SCADA Vision
Develop test commission & support machine control software
Design of equipment to CE electrical machinery safety and clients standards
Interpret & develop design & validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS FDS FAT etc)
Specification of control system components
Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle
Skills and experience;
3yrs experience in Equipment Automation
PLC & HMI experience desirable preferably with Allen Bradley
Knowledge of automated machine design specification & development
Ability to create technical documentation
Familiarity with robotics motion control machine vision pneumatics an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and energetic approach
Strong organisational skills
A quality minded outlook and a problem-solving attitude
Needs to work well in a multifunctional team
Driving Licence and ability to travel
3yrs+ experience in Equipment Automation PLC & HMI experience desirable, preferably with Allen Bradley Knowledge of automated machine design, specification & development Ability to create technical documentation Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics an advantage Excellent communication skills Proactive and energetic approach Strong organisational skills A quality minded outlook and a problem-solving attitude Needs to work well in a multifunctional team Driving Licence and ability to travel
