Call Schedule: Fri-Sun; 6a-6a
- Some vacation weekday
- 1-2 weeks/ month
Patient Demographics: Adults
Patient Volume: 10-15
- 1-2 Admissions
- 8-10 ICU
- 1-2 Surgeries
Physician in Practice: 2
Support Staff: 5 APPs
Required to supervise APPs: Yes
Procedures/ Case Mix:
- General CV/Thoracic Surgery
- Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Congenital defects (ASD less than VSD PFO among others)
- Valvular repair & replacement
- Aneurysm repair; Cardiac & Aorto-thoracic
- ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization
- C-Line A-Line PA catheter IABP
- Eval and management of vol/BP issues
No of Beds: 400; ICU: 12
Trauma Level: I
EMR: Epic
Other Info: No other thoracic surgeons present during coverage
Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
Active CO License or IMLC
BC
ACLS BLS
Clean background
COVID Vaccinated
