Job purpose
Responsible for transportation and direct warehouse operations including release of customer order jobs and assist with all inbound/outbound freight and packaging services as well as inventory storage in the warehouse.
Main accountabilities and tasks
- Coordinates in-bound and out-bound freight carriers with planning
- Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment per customer requirement
- Completes inspection of material as need to support the quality department
- Ensures completed customer orders are shipped without delay
- Assists with a daily review of scheduled shipments and coordinates with Operations Team to effectively schedule inbound deliveries
- Ensures all inbound and outbound documents and products are counted and are the correct products
- Documents and maintains inventory to ensures product is in good condition initiating weekly inspection walks
- Oversees warehousing of material and is responsible for managing material shrinkage
- Cycle counts materials monthly to ensure accuracy
- Liaison between vendors for supplies and services
- Makes recommendations to improve productivity quality and efficiency of operations
- Ensures the safety policies are followed throughout the warehouse
- Ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities
- Support or does training for the forklift drivers
- Provides weekly documented toolbox talks with the team
Qualifications :
Work experience: 5 years related experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelors preferred

- Strong leadership skills: ability to lead a team and work with suppliers in order to meet company objectives

- Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills ability to multi-task and operate efficiently despite frequent interruptions

- Forklift operator license
