Job Description
Qualifications :
Candidates must have 5 to 10 years of patent law experience (including Patent Agent experience). A bachelors degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering Telecommunications Computer Sciences or Physics is required and a Masters degree or Ph.D. in a similar field is a plus.
All qualified candidates must have a valid USPTO Registration number be able to efficiently manage a busy patent prosecution docket and have excellent academic and professional credentials as well as highly developed writing and analytical skills. Law firm experience is preferred as is experience in drafting and prosecuting Telecommunications-related patents (e.g. 3G 4G 5G and other Standards-related telecom technologies). Some experience with patent litigation and Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings is preferred.
All candidates should have excellent academic and professional credentials as well as highly developed analytical communication and writing skills. Candidates must be a member of the Illinois Bar or eligible to waive in.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance to applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $170000 to $220000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare vision dental retirement and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on market data an applicants skills and prior experience certain degrees and certifications and other factors.
