Job Description
What youre responsible for:
- Operating roll-off trucks to transport recyclable materials to and from designated locations ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipmentand secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Completingaccurate and thorough records of deliveriesand any other required documentation
- Maintaining cleanliness and minor upkeeping of your assigned vehicle
- Assisting with a variety of yard tasks (e.g. sorting machinery operation etc.).
- Providing excellent customer service
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- You have a valid class 1 FM drivers license with a clean Driving Record
- You have experience operating amanual transmission (required)
- You have a minimum of 2years of experience as a class 1 truck driver
- You are customer service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- You have good physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required.
- You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
- You have experience with roll-off trucks (an asset)
- You are physically fit and safety-oriented
- You are reliable punctual and respectful of equipment
