Qualification
-Education: A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent; an associate degree in accounting psychology finance or similar degrees is preferred
-Experience: 1 years working in accounts payable processing field
-Knowledge of Excel Microsoft Office Suite Internet Explorer
-Knowledge of MarkView and Oracle systems
-Ability to work with a large volume of invoices
-Reporting and research skills are a plus
NYCHA Accounts Payable Department is seeking to hire a Community Associate to support its Invoice Processing unit with increased volume from operations of NYCHA as well as Trust. Invoice Processing unit processes all invoices except the ones falling under Prevailing Wage unit.
-Reviewing auditing and processing invoices in PO Regular Special and Contract queues and backup to PW PO queue
-Reviewing auditing and processing invoices in Pre approved Special queue.
-Assisting vendors and developments per Transformation plan implemented recently by explaining of departmental procedures to submit invoices correctly and processing PO receipts once
goods delivered or services rendered.
-Processing reviewing and auditing CPD/A&CM invoices.
- Creates header and matches invoices to purchase orders if needed by Prevailing Wage unit. Release PW hold for invoices in compliance to facilitate payments to vendors
-Using Oracle data base research all invoices inquiries regarding Purchase order Releases and all PO related issues for accuracy
-Respond to all internal and external vendor payment inquires

1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 above.
