Application Support Analyst

Are you passionate about solving complex technical challenges and supporting cutting-edge applications in a dynamic customer-facing environment Were looking for a proactive and analytical Application Support Analyst to join our collaborative support team.

In this role youll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical software used by banks and financial institutions. Youll use your technical expertise to investigate resolve and prevent application issues working with everything from SQL databases to containerised infrastructure.

What youll be doing:

• Investigating re-creating and analysing incidents to identify root causes and propose both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
• Enhancing first-level resolution rates by following and contributing to robust support procedures.
• Escalating complex issues to appropriate internal experts while maintaining ownership and visibility.
• Collaborating regularly with customers third-party vendors and internal software teams to ensure effective incident management.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives suggesting workarounds and fixes to restore normal service efficiently.
• Growing your knowledge of our applications banking processes and support tools through technical and functional training.

Please note: successful applicants will be required to apply for SC (Security Check) clearance so must have resided in the UK for a minimum of five years. 

Qualifications :

What are we looking for 

• A degree or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with 13 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of Java and its use in backend systems.
• Experience working with modern DevOps tools and environments including: AWS Docker Kubernetes Istio Git
