Ventia is on the lookout for a Mechanical Tradespersonto step into the role ofEquipment Specialistat the iconicPort Kembla Steelworks right by the sea and at the heart of Australias steel industry.
Youll be joining a supportive down-to-earth team in the Coke Plant 2 Coal & Coke Handling Asset Team where your technical know-how and safety-first mindset will help keep things running smoothly.
Whats the Role All About
This isnt just another toolbox gig. Youll be:
- Offering expert advice on equipment longevity and performance
- Leading by example and guiding your teammates
- Monitoring asset health and reporting on condition
- Supporting daily operations and shutdown planning
- Getting hands-on with inspections isolations and root cause analysis
- Helping shape smarter maintenance strategies
Whether youre a seasoned pro or ready to take the next step in your career we want to hear from you.
What Youll Bring to the Table:
- Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (a must)
- Diploma of Engineering (or keen to start one)
- Solid mechanical aptitude and a knack for problem-solving
- Experience in material handling and asset maintenance
- White Card NSW Drivers Licence and computer literacy
- A proactive team-first attitude and pride in your work
- Strong communication skills face-to-face and written
