Job Description

Position Criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety Risk Management Public Administration Environmental Health/Environmental Science or related field and/or previous experience
  • Up to three years of experience preferred
  • OSHA training
  • Knowledge of federal and state occupational safety laws

Performance Criteria:

  • Perform root cause analysis on work comp claims
  • Work with necessary groups to ensure District safety including fixes repairs and suggest training opportunities
  • Provides safety educational presentations and training opportunities
  • Assist the business office in the development of budget policies and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness and safety programs.
  • Maintain data and records regarding program and resource use/effectiveness
  • Develops promotion and publicity plans for safety programs throughout the District
