DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In the position of a Highway Sign Worker your main duty will be to identify and install directional signage along state highways. This role requires not only the strategic placement of signs in optimal locations but also the assurance that they are firmly secured to withstand various environmental conditions. Additionally you will be tasked with replacing any broken signposts and damaged signs which is essential for maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the highway signage system.

Moreover you will be responsible for the upkeep of the areas surrounding the state highway signs. This includes essential maintenance activities such as trimming weeds to enhance the visibility and accessibility of the signs. You will also engage in painting crosswalks and parking stalls ensuring that these tasks comply with environmental protection standards thereby contributing to the overall safety and visual appeal of the highway infrastructure.

As a highway sign worker you will be expected to carry out skilled maintenance tasks related to various types of signage. This encompasses repairing cleaning and ensuring that all signs function properly which is vital for delivering crucial information to both drivers and pedestrians.
