This role involves hands-on journalism as well as audience development ideal for a sharp journalist who thrives in a digital news environment with the spirit of a startup.
The successful candidate will report to the Times Unions managing editor overseeing the Capitol Bureau and collaborate with producers and reporters to drive a cross-platform content and engagement strategy. Our operations are based at the state Capitol in Albany a uniquely competitive media and political arena that is frequently chaotic but never boring.
What youll do:
Per applicable law Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York. The reasonable estimate if hired is $65000-$75000. A final decision on the successful candidates starting salary will be based on a number of permissible non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skills and experience training certifications and education.
