0.6 FTE (Mon Tues Wed)Job DescriptionTitle:Building Based Substitute TeacherReports To: Principals Evaluated By: Principals Position Function/Job Purpose: This position is designed for the purpose of providing substitute coverage for teachers and staff members in grades Preschool through Grade 6. Carries out lesson plans written by teachers. Ensures a safe pleasant and effective educational atmosphere provides discipline as necessary and enforces school policy. Qualifications:A Bachelors degree or higher in Education or a related field. Ability to communicate effectively with students and with elementary with developmentally appropriate social-emotional learning programs and/or curriculum. Experience teaching/leading elementary aged Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesDeliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Provide appropriate feedback on work. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
