Develop and train instructional staff to effectively incorporate the use of technology into instructional programs and curriculum.

Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree
Masters degree preferred

Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of instructional software applications
Ability to develop and deliver technology training to adult learners
Knowledge of curriculum and technology used in instructional setting
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
3 years teaching experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Training
- Design develop and present effective campus- and district-level staff development on the use of technology-based instructional strategies in the classroom. Assess participant acquisition of skills using a variety of evaluation procedures and conduct follow-up training based on results.
- Design individual instructional modules instructional materials and training aides that incorporate the use of technology into the existing curriculum.
- Collaborate with Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Learning other Instructional Technology Specialist(s) Curriculum Coordinators and campus principals in planning technology training implementing technology plans and selecting instructional equipment and software that are compatible with the school technology infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Learning and Director of Informational Technology to ensure that teachers and administrators have the support equipment and materials needed to implement technology-based instruction.
- Monitor implementation of technology-based curriculum at the campus level.
- Conduct staff training on teacher software technology applications and digital platforms currently used by the district
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation.
Other
- Compile maintain and file all reports records and other documents required.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations. Adheres to and communicates copyright as well as other laws and guidelines pertaining to the distribution and ethical use of all resources.
- Collaborates with school librarians to enhance the development of knowledge for digital transition of instructional technology resources for student learning.
- Maintains current knowledge of technology and instructional practices that relate to the use of technology and actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally.
- Collaborate with Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Learning and Director of Informational Technology to maintain accurate records involving computer use inventory and maintenance.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Learning.
