The Opportunity
Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne Australia in 1948 and has grown to become one of the worlds leading privately owned packaging paper and recycling companies. Visys past present and future are linked by a commitment to growth through meeting our customers needs and the wise use and re-use of scarce resources.
As the Management Accountant for Visy Asset Management under the Visy Logistics division you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the success of the Visy Logistics operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams providing critical financial insights analysis and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
Role Details
Reporting to the Accounting & Administration Manager and based at our Epping office in a hybrid working model you will be a key member of the Visy Logistics Asset Management team. You will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting for the Asset Management business. In addition this role will support several areas including structured monthly reviews of customer activity and analysis capital projects throughout the division and other areas as required.
What youll do:
The primary purpose of the role includes responsibility for the following areas:
- Accounting for Visy Asset Management including both P&L and Balance Sheet management
- Standard Monthly Reporting including exec reports and volumetrics reporting
- Capital project submissions
- Review intercompany differences and monitor debtors ageing
- Analysis across several areas including head office spend and business profitability
- Drive the annual forecast and budget exercise with stakeholders.
- Projects including process improvement profit optimisation and housekeeping
What you will bring to the team:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Accounting including CA/ CPA qualification
- 3-5 years of experience in Management Accounting within the manufacturing / supply chain industry or similar
- Microsoft Excel skills (Intermediate or above)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in SAP and Consolidation & Reporting software (preferably Hyperion)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving
