Mechanical Design Engineer
Cookstown
35000 to 45000 depending on experience
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist team within the Water division. Reporting to the Design Manager youll work on varied and challenging projects for some of the worlds leading brands. With a collaborative team of engineers who bring over 21 years of experience this is an ideal opportunity to advance your design career in a dynamic and growing environment.

The Role:
- Design mechanical systems for projects in accordance with client specifications
- Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using Plant 3D
- Create and coordinate 3D models using Revit
- Produce general arrangement drawings sections elevations and fabrication detail drawings
- Perform pump calculations equipment schedules and write technical specifications
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical input
- Prepare technical submissions for client review
- Attend regular project design and site meetings
- Comply with ISO Quality Environmental and Health & Safety procedures
The Person:
- Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4 years experience in a mechanical design role ideally in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Skilled in 3D Modelling software such as Revit Inventor or SolidWorks
- Experience in fabrication design
