Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive is interested in hearing from junior funds lawyers available from August / September for an upcoming client assignment.
Your day to day responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:
- Setting up new trading vehicles new products and new funds.
- Managing internal and external investors transfers redemptions and fund decommissionings.
- Negotiating IMAs with third-party managers.
- Assisting with seed deals.
- Liaising with Compliance Tax and Finance to manage queries and run audits.
- Amending fund documentation.
Person specification:
- You are a qualified investment funds lawyer with substantial hedge funds experience.
- You have experience across Caymen and/or Delaware fund structures.
- You are accustomed to working in a complex fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- You are able to hit the ground running with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
- You will be based in or have the ability to travel to London.
- You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
