  • 24404 per annum (pro rata)
  • 37 hours per week - Flexible working options available
  • Fixed term or secondment to 31 March 2026 (funding) x 2 posts

The Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps programme is a dynamic initiative funded by the Department for Education as part of the Governments Lifetime Skills Guarantee. Designed to address regional skills gaps and recruitment challenges the programme offers flexible employer-led training across priority sectors such as construction digital engineering early years and health and social care. This year our funding will enable us to support over 1400 learners across the region helping learners develop their careers and supporting businesses enhance productivity

Your role and responsibilities

Working within the Skills Bootcamp team you will

  • act as the first point of contact for training providers submitting claims
  • process update and manage claims information and related data systems
  • support training requirements for the team and training providers
  • assist the Senior Funding Claims Officer and MIS Manager to resolve any ILR data issues in preparation for grant management data reports.

You will need

To be highly organised detail-oriented and confident working with data and funding guidance. You will be responsible for processing and auditing funding claims from training providers ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department for Education rules. This means you will need to interpret complex funding requirements maintain accurate learner records and resolve data discrepancies. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be advising providers and collaborating with colleagues across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and SharePoint is important along with a good understanding of data protection and administrative procedures.

This role sits within the Skills and Employment team a group dedicated to driving economic growth across Norfolk and Suffolk by developing a strong pipeline of talent for our local economy. Our purpose is to empower individuals through skills development helping them unlock opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
