Want to be part of a team that really cares and empowers you to help change a customers life for the better As our Care Worker (known internally as reablement worker) youll support older people aged 55 with varyingcare and support needs to live independently in their own home with peace of mind.Youll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical day as our Care Worker
- Support our customers in their own apartment who have a range of support needs including frailty and dementia.
- Help to regain or maintain independence and live well in their own home by carrying out every day daily living activities by themselves.
- Carrying out risk assessments support planning goal setting and regular reviews.
- Supporting customers who have more complex needs with personal care including bathing toileting and getting dressed.
- Assisting in the delivery of tasks based on our customers personal support plans making them feel valued respected and maintaining their dignity.

You bring
- Care Certificate or willing to complete within the first 12 weeks of employment
- A Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience working in a personal care environment or willing to study for a Level 2 Diploma in Care.
- Passion to support our customers to live their best life.
- Experience of working on own initiative remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach.
- Youll have experience of risk management supporting and empowering customers through their care plans.
- Recognise every customer is different and youre able to adopt a flexible personal approach listening to customers to understand their needs.
Our team
Youll report to Melissa our Registered Manager working alongside our Care and Support team and our housing management teams too. Our team includes a Client Service Manager Lead Reablement Workers and Reablement Workers.
Job details
- We provide 24-hour support so youll work on a rota basis with shifts between 07:00am and 10:00pm taking your turn to work days evenings weekends and bank holidays. Example shifts include 07:00-14:45 17:00-21:00 and 14:00-22:00.
- Where were flexible with you we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
- Although youll work shifts we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
- Able to use technology to update support plans complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
- Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
