The Rapid Reviews Research Associate will play a key role in a growing program of embedded evidence-informed research led by Nova Scotia Healths Implementation Science Team. This team conducts rapid-cycle reviews and evaluation-focused projects in close partnership with academic collaborators clinical leaders patients and health system stakeholders supporting decision-making policy development and meaningful system improvement.
Rapid reviews are one of the most dynamic and high-impact tools in health system transformation. At Nova Scotia Health rapid reviews are used to answer urgent complex questions from clinical and executive leaders government partners and operational teams. Each review draws on best-practice literature and jurisdictional scans to deliver an actionable understanding of emerging evidence and health system priorities. Reviews address a diverse range of health system topics including review questions related to primary health care health workforce and health human resources cancer care mental health and addictions technologies and digital health and so on.
As part of this exciting and fast-paced environment the Research Associate will support the design and delivery of rapid reviews by conducting literature searches jurisdictional scans and synthesizing evidence from grey literature and local sources. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented highly organized and eager to contribute to system change through collaborative evidence-driven work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with literature reviews rapid review methodology or applied health research and an understanding of learning health system principles are strong assets.
