Position Overview
The Principal Regional Market Leader (PRML) identifies local market opportunities and creates local marketing resources supporting pull-through of programs aligned with US Marketing strategy and Commercial Growth Priorities. The PRML is aligned to a group of healthcare markets and manages commercial relationships with national and regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and regional Key Organizations (KO) in collaboration with Field Medical and Advocacy. This role partners with Marketing Field Leadership. and other cross functional teams to create an insight exchange from internal teams and customers to inform marketing strategies and customer solutions to drive growth.
This position will be serving our West Region. Candidates are required to reside within the Central Mountain or Pacific time zones.
Essential Duties
Include but are not limited to the following:
Local Market Partnership and Program Implementation
- Understand each healthcare markets dynamics (drivers and barriers) competitive entrants and overall landscape and identify growth initiatives.
- Prioritize high-impact local opportunities and unmet market needs.
- Develop content creation and support execution of local marketing programs aligned to national strategic priorities
- Ensure Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) Compliance and brand team alignment.
- Use KPIs from marketing analytics or market operations analysts to evaluate program impact.
- Manage relationships with Field Medical Legal and Compliance teams.
- Support budget planning and investment prioritization with local leaders.
External Engagement & Strategic Collaboration
KOLs
- Lead commercial relationships with national/regional KOLs and healthcare leaders.
- Champion cross-functional collaborative activity planning within the local market (including Medical Field Sales Health Equity etc.).
- Identify and recruit appropriate KOLs for internal projects to increase peer-to-peer education on cancer screening with the Exact Sciences (EXAS) product portfolio.
- Attend local and national medical conferences congresses and symposiums to meet new KOLs and maintain long-standing relationships.
- Communicate appropriate insights and updates with aligned Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and record in VEEVA.
KOs
- Collaborate with Field Sales to build commercial relationships with underpenetrated and high-impact groups like medical societies and community organizations. Strategically align (but tactically separate) with Field Medical in engaging medical societies.
- Drive local strategic collaborations to increase peer-to-peer education on cancer screening with the EXAS product portfolio.
- Execute Regional Product Theaters with approved EXAS speakers at regional conferences and events aligned to the regional marketing budget brand and compliance guidelines.
- Identify key opportunities for regional peer-to-peer tailored engagements to drive growth and secure product adoption and adherence.
Insight Generation & Strategy Alignment
- Leverage market qualitative and quantitative data (Market SWOTs) to inform national/local strategies and tactics during annual brand planning process.
- Collaborate with HQ Marketing Senior Directors of Healthcare Markets (SDHMs) and internal partners to synthesize insights.
- Maintain insight exchange across KOLs field and marketing to refine strategies.
- Identify marketing opportunities not addressed in national plans.
- Recommend brand optimization tactics based on performance trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration Science or field related to job duties.
- 4 years of experience in marketing product marketing or related field.
- 4 years of sales or healthcare leadership experience.
- Strong background in strategy development and implementation with KPI measurement.
- Proficiency in leveraging insights to drive process and marketing tactics.
- Proven leadership experience including the ability to at times lead without authority.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible; swift decision-making skills.
- Strong collaboration and team orientation with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.
- Willing to foster a positive team culture built on trust integrity and all EXAS values.
- Capable to learn/maintain in-depth product knowledge and understanding.
- Effective English communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel 40% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travel.
- Possession of a valid drivers license; no suspended revoked surrendered invalid etc. allowed.
- No more than two moving violations events or accidents within the last 36 months.
- No alcohol or drug event in which a vehicle was driven by the candidate or employee including but not limited to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) failure refusal to submit to alcohol or drug test alcohol related suspension etc. in the last 36 months.
- No other results from the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check that exposes Exact Sciences to what Exact Sciences deems to be an unacceptable level of liability.
- Ability to meet any requirements set by healthcare facilities for access to those facilities (e.g. vaccination requirements mask requirements etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in related field.
- 4 years of regional marketing management experience in a medical field in a customer-centric marketing organization.
- Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process.
- People leadership experience.
- Experience monitoring and guiding sales tactics and execution.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and make decisions within ambiguity.
- Strong strategic acumen and problem solving.

Salary Range:
$152000.00 - $242000.00
The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition this position is bonus eligible and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
