Job Description
Qualifications
The Engineer will possess:
- 4 Java & C# Development experience at aFinancial Firm (preferred)
- Strong Analytical Skills able to comprehend and dissect a problem
- Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated fast learner willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things.
Core Skills
- Hands on Java & C# Technologist with Reference Data Background
- Ability to synthesize business functional requirements and design solution
- Prior Experience in working across regions and cross functional teams
- Partner with QA/Ops/Client teams in supporting Dev/QA/UAT initiatives
- Experience with source control systems such as GIT
- Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures.
- Experience with continuous integration build engines such as Jenkins GITLab
- Experience with IT automation tools Selenium Maven TestNG BDD and XML.
- Exposure to Agile development processes and tools such as Confluence JIRA and Kanban.
- Scripting experience (Python Perl Bash batch etc.) and familiarity with Windows Linux (RHEL preferred) and Unix.
- Experience with databases both relational (Oracle MSSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL Mongo)
- Experience in release engineering configuration management software development or related discipline.
