What Youll Bring:
Were looking for a Global Platform Lead to join our growing team.
Day to Day Youll Be:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead a cross-functional team of Engineers fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement the strategic roadmap for Global Platform initiatives ensuring alignment with group-wide infrastructure and tools.
- Collaboratewith stakeholders across Development DevOps Product and security teams to align platform strategy with business and territory goals.
- Lead the strategic planning for the required support and monitoring of platform solutions to ensure high availability and performance in all territories.
- Infrastructure & Operations:
- Oversee the design and implementation of territory-specific platform requirements.
- Plan and execute the integration of our current infrastructure into TransUnions group-wide cloud platform while minimising disruptions.
- Recommend changes to improve infrastructure working practices and operational efficiency for global expansion.
DevOps & Security:
- Establish and maintain territory-specific requirements for robust CI/CD pipelines collaborating closely with DevOps to ensure the streamlining of deployment processes.
- Lead initiatives to maintain and enhance our global security posture ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks (e.g. SOC-2 ISO 27001).
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure outages and incidents ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Documentation & Best Practices:
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of infrastructure systems and processes to support onboarding troubleshooting and scalability.
- Promote and implement DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience leading a team of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineers with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical contributions.
- Strong Linux systems administration experience including firewalls and hardening
- Expertise in Docker and container orchestration.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools particularly Terraform.
- Experience with network design administration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. JavaScript PHP).
- Experience with version control systems ideally Git.
- Web server configuration (Apache Nginx).
- Database management (MySQL MongoDB) including high availability and backup solutions.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud providers with significant experience in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with GCP services such as Compute Engine Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Cloud Storage BigQuery and IAM.
- Familiarity with configuration management and IT automation tools.
- Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with serverless infrastructure (e.g. AWS Fargate Lambda GCP Cloud Functions).
