In this newly created position you will oversee the critical administrative functions that ensure the smooth efficient and effective operation of the Auditors Office. Working closely with managers and supervisors you will handle day-to-day department-wide functions such as staffing training regulatory compliance facilities equipment security emergency planning safety policy development and internal and external systems and processes. You will directly supervise the Recording and Licensing Division. You will serve as a member of the departments Executive Team and will play a key role in department-wide strategic planning budget development and change management activities. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of departmental operations across all service lines and has considerable latitude for problem-solving and decision-making. Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Plan organize and coordinate department-wide operations with a cross-functional view including external partners such as IT Finance Facilities and Security.
- Collaborate with Chief Deputy Auditor to ensure department division operations follow standardized policies processes and procedures to allow for continuity of service.
- Analyze and evaluate operational processes to develop improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in the development implementation and monitoring of departments budget with particular attention to public-facing (revenue-generating) services.
- Participate in and support development measurement and execution of the mission goals and objectives of the department divisions and individual work groups. Oversee the departments public records management electronic records management electronic data submission records retention and archiving functions.
- Serve as the departments Human Resources Partner working with managers and supervisors as they navigate complicated and complex personnel matters.
- Contribute to policy development and long range and strategic planning. Oversee departmentwide compliance program ensuring consistent interpretation of laws rules policies and procedures licensing requirements and auditing functions at the local state and federal levels.
- Oversee public-facing services establishing policy reviewing operation efficiencies and developing customer service standards
- Effectively manage employees in a represented environment.
- Maintain regular predictable and punctual attendance during regularly scheduled work hours at assigned worksite.
- Meet travel requirements of the position.

Qualifications
- Additional education or experience which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may substitute on a year for year basis.
- Bachelors Degree in business administration human resources or related field.
- Five years of executive managerial and project management experience in a highly complex government setting including budgetary personnel and supervisory experience.

- Advanced degree
- Understanding and knowledge of local government administrative and legislative processes and procedures is highly desirable.
