Warehouse Supervisor
Basic Purpose
The primary purpose of a Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a warehouse ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods and materials. This role is pivotal in maintaining inventory accuracy optimizing warehouse processes and leading a team to meet performance and safety standards. By effectively managing resources and workflows the Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the overall productivity and success of the supply chain operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision: Lead and manage warehouse staff providing training guidance and performance evaluations to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency productivity and safety.
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff and other departments.
- Understand and implement procedures/processes to meet TS 16949/IATF 16949 and MMOG requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance metrics.
- Meet company 100% inventory accountability and accuracy.
- Support Management on any building maintenance and compliance activities. SEWS Physical Inventory coordination.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Logistics or related field preferred.
- 6-8 years of progressive plant experience including 1-2 years in supervisory capacity.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Texas state issued drivers license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Capable of standing walking and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
