The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join their teams in Tukwila WA and Seattle WA.
This opening will be on 2nd Shift and will involve leading a team in Tukwila supporting both the Aero Test Lab & Propulsion Vibration Noise Labs. You will also be leading a team in Seattle supporting the 2-10 Machine Shop. This is an exciting opportunity to manage develop and motivate a high-performing team of Machinists supporting both Lab Test and Flight Test operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Acquires resources provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
Manages develops and motivates employees
Oversight and ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Tukwila WA and Seattle WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
3 years of experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce
1 years of experience using software applications for internet navigation email Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience demonstrating leadership skills (informal or formal)
Able to work flexible hours overtime and occasional weekends when necessary
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 years of experience in a leadership role leading teams or projects to successful completion
Experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety Quality Delivery Cost and Manufacturing data
Bachelors degree or higher in a business or technical field
Familiarity with project management best practices
Familiarity with Lab Test and/or Flight Test Operations

Shift:
This position is for 2nd shift. Candidate must be willing to work rotational shifts including weekends and overtime (approximately 3 times a year).
