Primary Purpose: The Energy Supervisor serves as the face of ECISDs energy conservation program and works to establish accountability for energy consumption in the school district.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- CEM-Certified Energy Manager Preferred.
Special Knowledge Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel and energy tracking software.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to work independently in an efficient and organized manner.
Experience:
- Experience in energy management preventative maintenance data analysis and public relations preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure that the energy management program is supportive of the instructional goals of the district.
Analyze and interpret technical data and communicate it to non-technical individuals.
Exercise good judgment in implementation of policy.
Leverage communication skills to encourage change.
Maintain favorable public relations in a professional manner.
Conduct building energy audits at irregular hours (nights weekends early mornings holidays etc.).
Meet deadlines and produce reports on the energy program as required.
Other job-related duties as may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Energy Manager in conducting building audits
- Supervise the Energy Manager in use and maintenance of the EMS system.
- Supervise the Energy Manager creating reports through the ECAP to better understand the districts energy consumption.
- Supervise the Energy Manager in maintaining the balance between energy saving measures and the best learning environment for the students and staff.
