Job Description

POSITIONSUMMARY: Assist with monitoring the safety and security of the school campus. Help facilitate safe traffic patterns both inside and outside of the school building.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience and training with security and safety preferred
  • Ability to work in a positive manner with students staff and stakeholders
  • Possess collaborative and interpersonal skills

Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Personal Performance Criteria

  • Arrives on time and works consistently until the end of his/her scheduled day

  • Demonstrates ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work without close supervision

Professional Performance Criteria

  • Monitors parking lot and designated campus areas of the high school
  • Monitors the location of students with passes from class and other locations
  • Communicates with staff parents and administrators as needed about safety
  • Monitors hallways and lunch room throughout the school day
  • Assists with the JHS parking lot pass system
  • Duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor may vary from time to time
  • Assists School Resource Officer and Administrators with the implementation of school related safety measures
  • Monitors and implements safety protocols
  • Cultivates positive relationships with students and staff
  • Provides a positive daily safety presence both in and around the school campus
