Job Description

CMC Markets success is founded on its ability to deliver a wide range of trading products to customers through its in-house developed proprietary trading platform technology.


*** Please note that this role is onsite and would require 5 days per week in our London office near Liverpool Street. ***

We are looking for a Data Privacy Analyst to join our growing global team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career ideally with a background in IT or data management and a keen interest in data protection. Candidates must have some understanding of data protection laws and interest in applying them in real world situations.

The role will support our Global Data Privacy function in protecting personal data helping us meet regulatory requirements of global Data protection Laws.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute and support to maintaining a Data Privacy Framework across the group (UK Europe and APAC.

  • Maintain procedures to respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs).

  • Maintain procedures to respond to requests for right to be forgotten or for retention and erasure of data.

  • Help maintain personal data inventory ROPA and Data discovery targeting of personal data held by the CMC Group

  • Help build dashboards or generate reports/metrics on data privacy KPIs (e.g. breach trends response times).

  • Contribute to internal awareness campaigns newsletters and training materials to boost data privacy understanding across teams.

  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role including all relevant regulatory and legislative training

  • When dealing with all customers clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear fair and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality

  • Undertake such other duties training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

  • Support due diligence and manage third party risk including reviewing contracts and DPAs. Maintaining internal data privacy policy and notices for the Group. Support training and awareness programme to promote compliance to the policies. Collaborate with IT and Security teams to monitor and manage privacy incidents or breaches.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Analytical and enquiring nature ability to solve problems

  • Ability to identify potential risks and design appropriate solutions to remove/reduce them

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and in writing with the ability to work across different jurisdictions and with stakeholders across different parts of the firm

  • Ability to build business relationships

  • Capacity to influence and convince
