Do you have the passion and experience to help people be more active through inclusive sport and physical activity and develop initiatives to increase participation and reduce loneliness and social isolation
ActivLives has been delivering a wide range of activities and projects for over 19 years to help people improve their health and well-being keep connected with their community and provide opportunities for learning and volunteering.
ActivLives is looking to appoint an Activator (Community Sports Coordinator) to help develop the ActivAble Project funded for 3 years by the Sizewell C Fund. The Activator will work closely with different communities individuals organisations and community groups across the project area including Saxmundham Leiston Aldeburgh Yoxford Wickham Market and surrounding villages and engage with a wide variety of people who could benefit from an involvement with an accessible and inclusive sport and physical activity programme.
Candidates must have at least 2 years sport and/or fitness and community development experience have the ability to work under pressure manage competing priorities in a busy environment be able to work on their own initiative whilst being part of a team motivate others and be able to relate to a wide variety of individuals and groups.
This post will involve working closely with local people to establish and deliver inclusive activity as well as community development work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified person to be part of an exciting project with the local charity ActivLives.
